Enterprise Week - Pinkwell Primary School

Last week, we supported Enterprise Week at Pinkwell Primary School in Hayes. The goal was to help students understand business and encourage young entrepreneurs. We worked with Year 6 students to show them how Mills have changed since it started in 1918. The 10 and 11-year-olds formed 18 teams of five and each team got a £40 loan. They aimed to make the most profit after paying back this loan.

With support from the Mills team on marketing, the students had five days to prepare their products and services. They sold their items on Friday to parents, teachers, and classmates. After repaying their loans, the winning team, which sold Halloween and Diwali decorated cupcakes, made a brilliant profit of £100.

The entire year group made over £700 after paying back their loans. This money will go towards their end-of-year summer school trip. An amazing effort from the pupils in Year 6. Well Done Pinkwell Primary School, you are hired!
