Full description

Pipe collar wrap, designed and tested to seal service penetration apertures which contain plastic and metallic pipes with insulation. Formulated with thermoplastic composites and based on reactive graphite intumescent technology. Used to form a seal and to reinstate the fire resistance performance of wall and floor constructions where they have been provided with apertures for the penetration of combustible pipe services.

Features and benefits:

Provides a high volume expansion and pressure seal in the event of a fire.

Can be installed into tight locations due to a thin profile.

Causes no known effects to plastic pipes. Non-toxic. Halogen free, and contains no asbestos, ceramic or mineral fibres.

Versatile, can be installed in a variety of site conditions. Not affected by fungus, vermin or rodents.

Conditioned to Type X: -20°C to 70°C in accordance with EOTR 024 and ETAG 026. CE marked.

Applications:

Can be used to close off various types of insulation around metallic pipes.

Suitable for: Plastics including polyvinyl chloride (PVC), high-density polyethylene (HDPE), polypropylene (PP), low-density polyethylene (PE), acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), cholorinated polyvinyl chloride (PVC-C), and styrene-acrylonitrile resin (SAN).

Flexible and rigid walls of 100 mm minimum thickness.

Rigid floors with 150 mm minimum thickness.

Pipes to a maximum diameter of 250 mm with a variety of wall thicknesses for internal and external applications.

Can be used within the Stopseal® Batt system.

Can be used with Pyrocoustic® Sealant to seal the space between the combustible pipe and the aperture to close any gap.
