The proprietary IntelliTrack™ digital noise rejection technology offers signal clarity in noisy environments to give you an effortless locating experience that’s smarter, faster, and more accurate.

Connect to any type of wire, use our inductive clamp or transmitter antenna when a direct connection is not available. You can also choose between peak/null modes or between two simultaneous frequencies while in the field, always ensuring optimal signal performance and enabling side-by-side comparison to better detect and characterize anomalies.

And if you often locate near AC lines or change transmitter frequencies the 551 cable locator offers IntelliTrack™ digital noise rejection technology, so you can reliably trace lines near power sources. If AC interference is an issue, the 551 will give you two unique options for tracing without needing to walk back to the transmitter. Select Passive Mode to detect the source of the noise.

Whether you’re tracing electrical lines, irrigation wires, telecom cables, metal pipes, or Sondes (33 Khz) this rugged, IP54-rated underground wire locator is built for performance. The 551 can trace utility lines over a mile (1.6 km) and locate them at depths exceeding 2 feet (6 m). It can also triangulate depths up to 10 feet (3m). With an ergonomic, lightweight receiver and a rugged case, the 551 delivers reliability, efficiency, and ease of use at an affordable price.
