DS Series Suspension Clamp for Round ADSS Cables

Designed to provide suspension for aerial round ADSS cables on drop networks where spans do not exceed 70m.
The suspension clamp consists of a nylon body with a nylon bail and a neoprene sleeve.
The body is secured around the cable with 2 clips and one tie.
All parts are UV protected.

Full description

Features

• Monobloc and cost-efficient design.
• Simple, fast and tool-less installation.
• Installation without bending of the optical cable in the device.
• Direct installation on mounting hardware Ø10mm min.eye or pigtail type.

Installation

• When the line is at an angle of less than 15 °.
• When the cable is passing through intermediate poles up to 4 consecutive poles.
• In case of balanced adjacent spans.Installation of a double anchorage in place of a suspension in the following cases:
• On end poles.
• When the line is at an angle greater than 15° (instead of a suspension device), in order to preserve the integrity of the cable over time.
• If road crossing (obligatory cable stop on each pole both sides of the road).
• In case of unbalanced adjacent spans (a span of 40m, followed by a span of 30m, for example).
• If rugged terrain (line mountainside down for example).
• In alignment every 5 poles

Testing

This clamp has been qualified in accordance with internationally recognised standards :
• Climatic ageing test according to NF EN C-20-540 standard dated June 2002.
• Tensile test according to the technical specification ORANGE CCF/BI/BUBL of 20 May 2010.
• Vibration test according to the technical specification ORANGE CCF/BI/BUBL of 20 May 2010 and the standard NF EN 50289-3-13 of August 2003 with insertion loss< 0.2 dB.
